This is very unfortunate and surprising situation for Men, that coronavirus is killing men, Homes become unsafe for Men in Lockdown and agencies are talking about women rights in such a situation.
In a situation when men’s lives are in danger, men are also unsafe at home, but the National Commission for Women, India (NCW) and such women-centric agencies around the world are concerned about women’s rights.
It appears that for these agencies, human rights are limited to women’s rights. Concerns of the women’s rights by Women-centric agencies are not a surprise, because they are being paid for that and more importantly there is no Men’s rights as Human rights in the law.
As governments are least focused on the issue of men due to vote bank sentiment, our lawmakers still have centuries-old philosophies, resulting in no helpline for men by any government agencies. So there are many NGOs working for men’s rights in India, and one NGO has recently published that they have received calls from 1774 men in April 2020, who are facing domestic violence.
I saw a recent article on CNN with subject “Coronavirus is killing more men. But the lockdown is disastrous for women and their rights”, which has raised multiple issues related to women such as “Financial hardship, Most Single Parents are women, Not thinking about them”. Yes do not get surprised, because these agencies think that men are enjoying the lockdown period.
The above article at CNN is not more than a feminist myth or victim-ship stories. It appears that, where humankind is running for their existence, these feminists still have something to cry about and demand of some special provisions for them. It is time when helping each other is most important, and such feminist cooked stories are truly shocking to humankind, because it just talks about “power and safety for one while nothing for other“
